Hello, my name is Catherine, and I truly believe I was born to be a therapist. I’ve been blessed with the gifts of empathy, compassion, and deep understanding—qualities that have guided me throughout my life and my work. Over the past five decades, I’ve walked through many of life’s challenges, often seeking the support of a therapist myself. These personal experiences have shaped my practice, allowing me to combine clinical knowledge with lived wisdom.

I understand what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed, or uncertain. And I also know how transformative it can be to have someone walk beside you during those times. That’s why I created Best Choice—a name that reflects not only the power of making intentional decisions, but also stands for Body, Emotions, Spirit, and Thoughts. When we connect with all parts of ourselves, we’re better able to make empowered, aligned choices.

After facing a major life setback that shook my sense of worth, I chose to embrace my perfectly imperfect self and open a private practice. That was my best choice—and now, I’m here to help you make yours.

As an eclectic therapist, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to meet your unique needs. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, self-compassion, solution-focused strategies, and trauma-informed care. I believe healing happens when we work with the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

When working with couples, I integrate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), and Prepare/Enrich to help partners rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and create a stronger foundation for lasting intimacy.
